
Los Angeles, CA.- One of the two people who died in a rollover crash on the Pomona (60) Freeway in East Los Angeles on Wednesday evening has been identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
At around 5:30 p.m. on November 26, 2025, the California Highway Patrol was notified of a crash on the westbound freeway at the Long Beach (710) Freeway exchange.
A single vehicle traveling on the westbound freeway rolled over, for unknown reasons, and one occupant was ejected from the vehicle.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department crews also responded to the scene and found the ejected party deceased at the scene. He has identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office as 18-year-old Itziar Ramirez.
A second party was declared dead while enroute to a hospital. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The westbound freeway lanes were shut down for over three hours as authorities worked to determine the cause of the accident. The CHP is handling the investigation.
