Los Angeles, CA – One person died, and five others were hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision that happened Saturday morning at an intersection in Encino.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash occurred around 11:20 a.m. on September 12, 2026, at Ventura Boulevard and Densmore Avenue.

LAFD firefighters responded to the scene and found two vehicles involved in the accident.

Six people were transported to hospitals with varying degrees of injuries. One of the patients, only identified as a woman, died from her injuries shortly after arrival at the hospital.

Traffic lanes in the area were shut down during the rescue operation. The Los Angeles Department of Transportation officials were called to the scene to help control traffic.
