Los Angeles, CA – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on the Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck took place near the Third Street on-ramp at around 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, March 15.
According to the CHP, three vehicles were involved in the accident that took place in the northbound lanes of the freeway.
The CHP officers and Los Angeles Fire Department crews arrived at the scene shortly after and attended to the involved individuals.
One person was sadly declared deceased at the site of the accident. A woman with critical injuries was rushed to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.
The identities of the parties involved in the wreck were not immediately released by the authorities.
The northbound lanes of the freeway were temporarily shut down as authorities worked to clear scene. As of 8 a.m., all lanes had been reopened.
The California Highway Patrol is conducting an ongoing investigation to determine what led up to the crash and additional details are expected to be released.
