Los Angeles, CA – One person was injured in a collision between a vehicle and a train on Thursday morning in downtown Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

The incident took place at around 7:35 a.m. July 23, in the 500 block of West Pico Boulevard near Flower Street.

According to preliminary reports, a Metro A Line train collided with a vehicle on the tracks for unspecified reasons.

The Los Angeles Police Department and firefighters responded to the scene and assessed the parties involved in the accident.

There were 60 passengers aboard the train at the time of the accident and one of them reported minor injuries.

The driver of the involved vehicle was not injured in the incident.

The crash led to a brief closure of the A Line tracks as authorities investigated the incident.

An investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department is ongoing.
