Long Beach, CA – A toddler died, and two others, including a child, were hospitalized after they were struck by a vehicle that was reportedly attempting to back up in front of a Long Beach home.

Police officers arrived at the scene, where they found a female toddler, a female child, and a woman with injuries after they were struck by a vehicle.
The officers rushed the toddler to the hospital while attempting lifesaving measures, but the girl died from her injuries.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded and transported the other girl and the woman to the hospital in stable condition.
Police said they believe the victims were sitting on the stairs of a building when they were struck by an SUV attempting to reverse.
The SUV driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Long Beach police officers are looking for witnesses and possible surveillance video as they continue with the investigation.
