According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department – Lancaster Station, the incident occurred around 10:42 p.m. on August 12 at 17th Street West and West Avenue K-8.
Lancaster, CA – A woman in a motorized wheelchair was hit and severely injured by a pickup truck Wednesday night at an intersection in Lancaster.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department – Lancaster Station, the incident occurred around 10:42 p.m. on August 12 at 17th Street West and West Avenue K-8.
The woman was hit by the pickup truck under unknown circumstances. A witness said the victim was dragged a substantial distance and ended up beneath the front of the vehicle.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the woman to Antelope Valley Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
