According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck took place in the southbound lanes of the freeway near Laguna Canyon Road at about 2:06 p.m. February 19.
A preliminary investigation determined that a BMW, a minivan, and a Chrysler were involved in the crash. The three collided on the westbound 73 Freeway for reasons yet to be determined.
The California Highway Patrol officers and emergency personnel immediately responded to the scene and located the involved parties.
