La Palma, CA – One person was hospitalized with minor injuries following a two-vehicle wreck on State Route 91 in La Palma Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened on westbound State Route 91 just east of Orangethorpe Avenue at approximately 3:28 p.m.
Preliminary reports indicate that a blue Tesla Model 3 collided with a gray SUV in the No. 1 lane of the freeway. The impact left the vehicles blocking part of the roadway before they were later moved to the right shoulder.
Authorities reported that one person was transported to La Palma Intercommunity Hospital with complaints of neck and back pain. No other injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made in connection with the crash.
CHP officers and responding crews arrived at the scene to assist those involved, arrange for vehicle removal, and ensure the roadway was cleared safely.
The crash temporarily blocked lanes on the westbound side of SR-91, causing traffic delays in the area before conditions improved once the roadway was cleared.
The incident remains under investigation.
