Kittitas County, WA– One person was killed in a solo crash that occurred in Kittitas County on Monday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The wreck happened on State Route 82, nearly two miles fom the Yakima County line on Monday, January 5.
According to the WSP, a vehicle was traveling westbound on SR 82 when it lost control and crashed. Authorities believe the driver was traveling too fast for conditions.
A passenger in the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The driver and two other passengers in the vehicle were transported to Multicare Yakima Memorial Hospital with unspecified injuries. The driver was wearing a seatbelt but the passengers were not.
Details on the identities of the involved parties have not been released. The Washington State Patrol is conducting an investigation into the deadly collision.
