Newhall, CA.- Authorities are investigating an incident where a pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle in Newhall last week on Thursday.
According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station, the accident took place on Railroad Avenue near Market Street shortly before 11 p.m. October 30.
Kimberley Shoemaker, 45, was walking in the area when a vehicle struck her, authorities said.
The circumstances under which the pedestrian was hit were not immediately established
Shoemaker was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased at around 3 a.m. on Friday morning.
Authorities said the driver was cooperating with the investigators.
The cause of the deadly Newhall pedestrian crash is under investigation.
