Kent, WA- 1 Killed in Crash on 277th and 83rd Avenue South

Preliminary reports indicate that a woman was driving a Hyundai SUV at a high rate of speed in the area when she slammed into the rear of the bus.

Kent, WA – One person was killed in a collision involving a King County Metro Transit bus on Wednesday morning near Kent.

According to the authorities, the accident occurred at around 7 a.m. September 16, near 277th and 83rd Avenue South.

Preliminary reports indicate that a woman was driving a Hyundai SUV at a high rate of speed in the area when she slammed into the rear of the bus.

The driver of the SUV was killed in the accident.

Three passengers on the bus were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities reported that the involved car was suspected to have been stolen.

Roads were temporarily shut down as authorities worked at the scene.

The cause of the collision is under investigation by the King County Sheriff’s Office.
