65-Year-Old Kansas City Man Killed in San Clemente Motorcycle Crash on 5 Freeway at El Camino Real
San Clemente, California (September 6, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Monday morning San Clemente traffic accident that killed a 65-year-old male motorcyclist from Kansas City, Missouri.
The deadly motorcycle accident occurred at about 10:15 a.m. on the northbound 5 Freeway just north of El Camino Real.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 65-year-old male motorcyclist was riding a 2010 Harley-Davidson when a northbound 2008 Ford Explorer, driven by a 35-year-old San Clemente man struck him in unclear circumstances.
A 2012 Honda Civic driven by a 27-year-old woman, with a 27-year-old male passenger, both from Austin, Texas was also involved in the accident, the officials said.

Sadly, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. No one in the vehicles was injured in the mishap.
Traffic on two northbound lanes was stopped until just before 2 p.m. due to the accident.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
