Authorities said a juvenile was riding a small motorized mini-bike in a gated community when they collided with a car under unclear circumstances.

Indio, CA. – A juvenile was airlifted to the hospital after a mini-bike collision that happened in a gated community in Indio.
According to Indio police, the accident occurred in the 82000 block of Modena Road near the intersection of Monroe Street and Avenue 41.
Authorities said a juvenile was riding a small motorized mini-bike in the gated community when they collided with a car under unclear circumstances.
The juvenile sustained severe but non-life-threatening injuries. An air ambulance responded to the scene and airlifted the patient to Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley for treatment.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected to be contributing factors.
Indio police officers are investigating the collision.
