Jurupa Valley, CA. – A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday night in a crash involving two vehicles near Hamner Avenue and Citrus Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies responded to the scene around 9:24 p.m., where they found the pedestrian in the roadway with severe injuries. Despite immediate medical aid, the individual died at the scene.
Both drivers involved remained on site and cooperated with investigators. Officials said it is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The crash remains under investigation.
