Brown was trying to walk southbound across Valencia Road outside a crosswalk when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle

Tucson, AZ.- A pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Tucson's southeast side early Friday morning has been identified as Joshua Brown, 27, according to the Tucson Police Department.
At around 4:24 a.m. October 24, the TPD responded to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian in the 5500 block of East Valencia Road.
Brown was trying to walk southbound across Valencia Road outside a crosswalk when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
He was pronounced deceased at the site of the collision.
Police said Brown is believed to have been homeless.
The driver of the involved vehicle, a 36-year-old man, was at the scene when police arrived. He was not suspected of DUI.
The accident is under investigation.
