Ramirez was transported to Ventura County Medical Center where he died while receiving treatment
Camarillo, CA. – 40-year-old Jose Luis Ramirez Jr. has been identified as the person who died in a car crash in Camarillo early Tuesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 1 a.m. on northbound Highway 101, north of Carmen Drive.
Ramirez had been driving a Lexus IS 250 northbound on the highway when he made an unsafe turning movement and hit a concrete wall.
The Lexus rolled over into traffic lanes and was struck by a northbound Ford Mustang.
Ramirez was transported to Ventura County Medical Center where he died while receiving treatment, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office.
The driver of the Mustang left the scene on foot and was yet to be located.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
