Sunnyside, WA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Wednesday night in Sunnyside, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Shortly after 10:25 p.m. September 3, authorities received reports of a crash on Interstate 82 at the exit 69 on-ramp.
The WSP reported that a vehicle was heading east on I-82 from the on-ramp when it struck Jorge G. Estrada Martinez, 29, on the shoulder.
Martinez was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene after the accident.
Authorities said charges are expected to be filed against the driver.
The investigation is ongoing.
