The CHP said Plasier Jr was driving a Ford Expedition in the middle lane when he lost control and veered left, crashing into the center median

Santa Rosa, CA. – The man who died mid last month after his SUV swerved off Highway 101 in Santa Rosa and rolled into a roadside ditch has been identified.
According to the Sonoma County Coroner's Office, John Plasier Jr., 55, of Kelseyville, was killed in the crash that took place at around 2:30 p.m. October 16, on the northbound lanes near Yolanda Avenue.
The CHP said Plasier Jr was driving a Ford Expedition in the middle lane when he lost control and veered left, crashing into the center median.
The Expedition struck a guardrail and landed upside down with its roof partially submerged in a roadside ditch.
Plasier Jr was pulled from the vehicle and transported to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
