Paramedics at the scene had to perform life-saving measures on the victim, but the victim died

San Diego, CA – The authorities have released the name of a man who died in a single-vehicle crash on Friday, November 7, 2025, on Interstate 5 Freeway near Sorrento Valley Road.
The Medical Examiner's office identified the deceased driver as John Kin Chuan Kim, 65, of San Diego.
Kim was operating an SUV that crashed into the highway's center divider before traversing all northbound lanes and colliding with the outside guardrail.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

San Diego, CA – One person was killed in a car accident in San Diego on Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 11 a.m. on Interstate 5 Freeway near Sorrento Valley Road.
A Hyundai Sonata traveling at a high rate of speed entered the freeway and went across all lanes before crashing into a center divider wall.
Paramedics at the scene had to perform life-saving measures on the victim.
Sadly, the victim died at the scene.
