Julian, CA – The motorcyclist who was killed after colliding with a pickup truck on State Route 79 in Julian on October 12 has been identified as Jeffrey Edward Pierce, a 59-year-old resident of Jamul.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Pierce was riding a motorcycle when, for some reason, he veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a pickup truck. Pierce was ejected onto the roadway and sustained fatal injuries.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Julian, CA – At least one person is dead following a two-vehicle traffic collision on State Route 79 in Julian on Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision happened at about 4:52 p.m. in the 4500 block of State Route 79.
According to the CHP, a motorcycle and a truck were involved in the incident.
The manner in which the accident happened was not immediately disclosed.
According to the CHP, at least one person died in the wreck.
