Julian, CA – The motorcyclist who was killed after colliding with a pickup truck on State Route 79 in Julian on October 12 has been identified as Jeffrey Edward Pierce, a 59-year-old resident of Jamul.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Pierce was riding a motorcycle when, for some reason, he veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a pickup truck. Pierce was ejected onto the roadway and sustained fatal injuries.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the CHP, a motorcycle and a truck were involved in the incident.
