According to CHP, Oceguera was driving a white car on southbound I-5 when he drifted off the roadway and slammed into a tree

San Diego, CA.- The man who was killed in a car accident that took place in San Diego last week on Friday has been identified as Javier Oceguera Jr., 38, of San Diego, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
The wreck happened on Interstate 5 at the Tocayo off-ramp shortly before 5:50 p.m. August 29.
According to CHP, Oceguera was driving a white car on southbound I-5 when he drifted off the roadway and slammed into a tree.
The sedan came to a rest approximately 60 feet off the roadway and was engulfed in flames.
The flames also spread into dry brush in the area.
Oceguera was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The off-ramp was shut down for hours as authorities worked at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
