James Herman Killed, 2 Others Injured in Head-On Accident in Sonoma County

According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck was reported just before 4 p.m. on Occidental Road, east of Mill Station Road, about 10 miles west of Santa Rosa.

Driver Killed, Two Others Hospitalized After Collision on Occidental Road near Santa Rosa

Sonoma County, CA. – 51-year-old James Herman died, and two people were hospitalized after a head-on collision that happened Saturday afternoon in Occidental, Sonoma County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck was reported just before 4 p.m. on Occidental Road, east of Mill Station Road, about 10 miles west of Santa Rosa.

Authorities said Herman was driving a Honda Accord traveling east on Occidental Road when, for an unknown reason, drifted into the opposing lane and collided head-on with a Jeep Wrangler.

Herman died at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Jeep and a passenger were hospitalized at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries.

CHP officers are investigating the accident.
