Phoenix, AZ.- Jacqueline Louise Nelson, 86, was killed in a major crash that happened on Friday morning in north Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The collision was reported shortly after 11 a.m. October 3, near 18th Street and Greenway Parkway.

According to the report, Nelson was driving a car eastbound on Greenway Parkway when she failed to yield and made a left turn.

The car collided with a pickup truck at the intersection.

Nelson was rushed to a hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

The other driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to PPD, impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the incident.

The crash is under investigation.
