Yuma, AZ – The Yuma Police Department has identified the couple killed in a traffic collision near an intersection in Yuma Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on April 13 near the intersection of East 32nd Street and Avenue 6E.
A 32-year-old woman was driving a 2016 Ford Explorer along with her 18-month-old son when she attempted to make a left turn onto Avenue 6E and collided with a 2015 Nissan Rogue operated by Ismael.
Ismael was rushed to Onvida Health, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Raquel and her son were also transported to the same hospital with minor injuries.
Impaired driving was not considered as a factor.
An investigation is ongoing.

Yuma, AZ.- Two people were killed in a collision that took place in Yuma on Sunday afternoon, according to the Yuma Police Department.
The incident happened at about 2:30 p.m. April 13, near E. 32nd Street and Avenue 6E.
Police reported that a 32-year-old woman was driving a 2016 Ford Explorer heading west on 32nd Street when she attempted to turn left onto Avenue 6E and crashed with a 2015 Nissan Rogue driven eastbound on 32nd Street by a 71-year-old.
The Ford Nissan driver and his passenger were both rushed to Onvida Health, where they succumbed to their injuries.
The woman driving the Ford and her passenger, an 18-month-old boy, were both taken to Onvida Health for treatment of minor injuries
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
