Phoenix, AZ– Injuries were reported in a car accident early Wednesday morning in south Phoenix, according to the authorities.

The crash was reported at around 4:50 a.m. September 10, on 19th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.

According to the report, an SUV crashed into a semi-truck carrying sections of a concrete bridge.

The SUV was pinned under a pillar and the driver was pulled out by emergecy crews.

The driver was transported to a hospital with broken legs.

Roads were shut down near the intersection as authorities worked to clear the scene.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
