Industry, CA – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metrolink train on Temple Avenue in Industry on Monday evening, according to a report by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
At around 5:55 p.m. January 6, authorities responded to reports of an accident in the 13000 block of Temple Avenue, near Valley Boulevard.
The sheriff's deputies reported that a person walking on foot was hit by a train in the area for unknown reasons.
Medics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded to the scene shortly after. The pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene.
The identity of the deceased pedestrian was not immediately released pending notification of the next-of-kin. There were no reports of any injuries to the occupants of the train.
Authorities have not released further details on the incident. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into the collision.
