The accident happened around 12:40 p.m. on Pinto Basin Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A motorcycle reportedly crashed in unclear circumstances.
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
