Huntley, IL – Two people were hurt in a collision involving a big rig on Interstate 90 in Huntley on Thursday morning, according to the Illinois State Police.
The incident was reported at around 4:25 a.m. February 26, in the westbound lanes of I-90 near State Route 47.
According to investigators, a Chevrolet Malibu collided with a semi-truck in the westbound lanes. There was no update on what caused the two vehicles to crash.
The ISP and emergency crews responded to the scene and helped those involved in the wreck.
The driver of the Malibu and a passenger in the car were transported to a hospital for treatment. There was no update on the extent of their injuries.
The big rig driver was uninjured and remained at the scene. Authorities have not released the identities of the people involved in the incident
Authorities blocked the entrance ramp from SR 47 onto westbound I-90 while investigations were conducted and firefighters cleared the scene.
