Huntington Beach, CA – A woman was hospitalized after a car crashed into a hair salon at a strip mall in Huntington Beach, authorities reported.
The incident transpired around 2:15 p.m. on August 12, 2026, near the 6000 block of Edinger Avenue.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the driver of a black sedan, identified as a man in his 70s, accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes while reversing, and the vehicle slammed into the front window of Salon Muse, located at the strip mall.
A woman inside the salon sustained minor injuries. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police officers said the incident appeared to be an accident and no one was arrested.
The Huntington Beach Building Department and the Huntington Beach Fire Department’s Urban Search and Rescue Team responded to the scene to assess the building.
HBPD is investigating the accident.
