Hesperia, CA – A man killed in a crash involving a sedan and a semi-truck on Interstate 15 in Hesperia early Saturday morning has been identified.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Coroner Division identified the deceased as 36-year-old Michael A. Farace of Costa Mesa.

Hesperia, CA – One person was killed in a traffic collision involving a sedan and a bobtail truck early Saturday morning in Hesperia, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash was reported at approximately 4:24 a.m. on northbound Interstate 15 just north of Ranchero Road.
CHP dispatch records indicate a black sedan crashed into the rear of a white bobtail truck. The sedan came to rest on the right shoulder, while debris was scattered in the right lane. A witness told authorities the sedan had been weaving across the roadway prior to the collision.
CHP logs indicate one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The bobtail truck pulled over on the right shoulder following the collision. Tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles, and CHP notified Caltrans regarding approximately 25 feet of damaged fencing near the crash site.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No additional information was immediately available.
