Hemet, CA – Two adults and a child were sent to the hospital after being hit by a van Friday afternoon near an intersection in Hemet.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the incident was reported around 1 p.m. on July 24, 2026, on Highway 74 at Fairview Avenue.
Investigators said the two adults were walking along the highway, pushing a toddler in a stroller, when a van clipped them at an unknown speed. The victims rolled into the roadway.
Paramedics responded and evaluated the victims. All three were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the van stopped after the accident.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
