Umatilla County, OR – The Oregon State Police has identified a driver killed in a Tuesday afternoon multi-vehicle collision on Highway 395 in Umatilla County as Hector Singleterry, 62, of Hermiston.
The incident happened at around 2:22 p.m., February 11 on State Route 395 near milepost 3.5.
A preliminary investigation revealed Singleterry was traveling southbound on the highway when it gradually crossed the special turn lane into the northbound travel lanes. The vehicle crossed both northbound lanes and went off the highway, colliding with a parked unoccupied white Chevy Express van.
The Chevy van then struck a parked white Chevy Cobalt with two occupants.
Singleterry was believed to have experienced a medical emergency.
CPR was attempted without success and Singleterry was declared deceased at the scene.
The occupants of the Chevy Cobalt were not injured.
No further information about the collision was provided.
An investigation is underway.
