Hayward, CA – Two riders were injured, one seriously, following a motorcycle collision on State Route 92 in Hayward Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at about 1:27 p.m. on eastbound State Route 92 just west of the Industrial Boulevard off-ramp.
According to the CHP, two motorcycles collided under unclear circumstances. Â Authorities said one of the motorcycles, described as a multicolored Aprilia, sustained major front-end damage. Both motorcycles reportedly came to rest along the right-hand shoulder following the collision.
Both motorcyclists were injured in the crash. Authorities said one rider suffered major injuries. One of the riders may have sustained a dislocated shoulder following the crash. Both injured parties were reportedly conscious and moving after the collision.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after the collision was reported. Tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged motorcycles from the roadway area while officers conducted the investigation.
