According to Hanford police, George Beucher, 61, was driving a Ford F-250 when he ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a Toyota Prius.
Hanford, CA – One person was killed in a rollover accident that took place in Hanford on Sunday night, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened at about 10:30 p.m. September 27, on 12th Avenue and Grangeville Boulevard.
According to Hanford police, George Beucher, 61, was driving a Ford F-250 when he ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a Toyota Prius.
The Prius was driven by Jose Lopez, 38, who was found unconscious at the scene by the emergency crews.
Lopez was transported to a hospital, where he was later declared deceased.
Beucher was treated for minor injuries.
According to investigators, impairment was suspected to have played a role in the incident.
Beucher was arrested and booked into the Kings County Jail on suspicion of DUI and bodily injury causing death.
The accident remained under investigation.
