Pierce County, WA – The Washington State Patrol has identified 39-year-old Grey Chase from Tacoma as a bicyclist killed in a crash on Highway 7 in Parkland in late December.
The incident occurred on State Route 7 at Tule Lake Road at around 11:23 p.m. December 31, 2024.
Reportedly, a 30-year-old Tacoma man was driving his 2009 Dodge Caliber on the highway when it struck a bicycle ridden by Chase.
Chase was rushed to Tacoma General Hospital, where he later died.
The Dodge's driver was not injured and did not face charges.
No further details regarding the collision were available.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
