Glendale, CA – A pedestrian who was fatally hit by an Amtrak train in Glendale on Monday afternoon has been identified by the authorities.
According to the Glendale Police Department, Zaven Abramyan, 68, of Glendale, died following the collision that took place on Grandview Avenue and San Fernando Road at around noon on Monday, April 13.
Investigators reported that Abramyan was walking along the train tracks, for unknown reasons, when the train struck him.
Glendale police and emergency personnel arrived shortly after and Abramyan was confirmed deceased at the scene.
There were no other injuries Reported in the incident.
The Glendale Police Department is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
