Glendale, AZ – A cyclist was severely injured after colliding with a car Sunday evening near an intersection in Glendale, the Glendale Police Department reported.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m., March 8, near 91st and Glendale avenues.
According to police, the cyclist was going in the opposite direction in the lanes on Glendale Avenue when they were struck by a car.
The rider suffered severe injuries, including a fractured skull and femur. The victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The driver involved stopped and remained at the scene.
Traffic lanes in the area were closed for several hours during the investigation.
