, AZ.– A man who was involved in a motorcycle collision with a vehicle in Tucson last month has succumbed to his injuries.

According to the Tucson Police Department, the crash happened at about 3:40 p.m. December 20, on Catalina Highway near Tanque Verde.

The police report that Gerald George Kroninger, 89, was riding his 2006 Kawasaki VN900 motorcycle southbound on Catalina Highway when he was struck by a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 that was exiting a private drive.

Following the accident, Kroninger was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with critical injuries and was pronounced deceased on December 30.

The driver of the Dodge, a 41-year-old man, was not injured and was cited for failure to yield while exiting a private driveway.

The accident is under investigation.
