A vehicle traveling north on Highway 281 was stopped to make a left turn when it was rear-ended by a car driven by a 19-year-old man from Quincy.

George, WA – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that took place nearly four miles north of George on Monday evening, according to a report by the Washington State Patrol.
The crash occurred on Highway 281 at around 5 p.m. on Monday, July 13.
Through investigation, the WSP determined that five vehicles were involved in the accident, believed to have been caused by following too closely.

The impact caused a chain-reaction collision involving three other vehicles that were headed south.
According to authorities, two people sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to a hospital for treatment. Two other parties, including the 19-year-old driver, were transported by ambulance.
