Fresno County, CA – One person was killed following a head-on motorcycle collision on Reed Avenue in Fresno County early Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Preliminary investigation findings indicate that a Lexus was traveling southbound on Reed Avenue when the driver attempted to pass another vehicle by entering the northbound lanes. The Lexus collided head-on with an oncoming motorcycle operated by 47-year-old Francisco Fonseca Razo of Reedley.
Razo suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lexus was not injured in the crash and is reportedly cooperating with investigators.
Authorities stated that alcohol or drugs do not appear to have been factors in the Fresno County crash.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene to secure the roadway and begin the on-site investigation into the fatal collision.
