Woman Killed, Several Injured in Fresno Crash on Highway 99 near North Avenue Exit
Fresno, California (April 26, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Tuesday morning multi-vehicle accident that killed a woman and injured several other people in Fresno.
The crash occurred at about 3:00 a.m. along northbound Highway 99 near the North Avenue exit.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a Dodge Stratus when she swerved into the wall on the right side of the highway. As a result of the crash impact, the Dodge veered across all three lanes and ended up in the center median.
A man in a Jeep reportedly stopped to help the woman, and his Jeep was struck by another vehicle causing it to flip over.
At least two other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Several Injured in Fatal Highway 99 Crash
Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Other people sustained minor injuries in the accident.
More details regarding the mishap were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
