Fresno, CA – The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the woman who died in a semi-truck accident at an intersection in Fresno as 43-year-old Elsa Gonzales.
The wreck transpired around 7:30 a.m. on June 29, 2026, at South Chestnut Avenue and East Annadale Avenue.
According to CHP, the Fresno woman was driving a Honda Acura through the intersection when she collided with the rear left portion of a semi-truck making a left turn.
The impact caused the Acura to veer in a northeasterly direction into the parking lots of Red Triangle Oil Company and Flyers Filling Station, before swerving back onto the roadway.
Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.
