Foster City, CA -One person was killed, and another was seriously injured following a traffic collision involving two vehicles on the 92 Freeway in Foster City.
The accident happened at around 1:o9 a.m. on the eastbound Interstate 92 near the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, according to the California Highway Patrol.
As per the CHP, a white Acura sedan and a Cadillac were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles overturned and came to rest on its roof following the crash.
Both vehicles were totally totaled.
The driver of the Cadillac succumbed to his injuries. The name of the deceased party has not been released. The driver of the Acura was transported to Eden Hospital with major injuries.
A SigAlert was issued, closing all the eastbound lanes of the freeway for several hours.
No further information regarding the mishap was available.
The crash remains under investigation.
