Fort Bragg, CA – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Fort Bragg on Thursday evening, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The incident happened just before 7:50 p.m. July 23, near South Main Street and Franklin Street.

According to investigators, a vehicle struck a pedestrian in front of the Taco Bell near the intersection. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.

The Fort Bragg Fire Department immediately responded to the scene after receiving calls of the incident.

The medics performed life-saving measures on the victim but were unsuccessful. The pedestrian died of injuries sustained in the collision.

The identities of the pedestrian and the involved driver were not immediately released.
