Fontana, CA – One person was killed in a rear-end traffic collision on Interstate 15 in Fontana Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to CHP, a black Lexus 400 series sedan collided with the rear of a semi tractor-trailer that was parked on the right shoulder of the freeway. The speed of the Lexus at the time of impact was not immediately known.
The driver of the Lexus died at the scene. The semi driver was unharmed. No arrests were reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, though preliminary reports indicate the Lexus struck the parked trailer.
