Encinitas, CA. – A woman died after being struck by a car in Encinitas on Saturday morning, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.

The fatal pedestrian accident happened around 7:15 p.m. in the 2700 block of El Camino Del Norte near La Quebrada.

A 2025 Nissan Z was traveling westbound on El Camino Del Norte when it struck a woman walking across the street.

The woman was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Police say DUI is not believed to be a factor in the accident.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
