Orange Cove, CA.- A driver was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident in Orange Cove on Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Lincoln Avenue, east of Hill Avenue, on Thursday, October 16.
A driver reported that they drifted off roadway to avoid an animal that jumped abruptly into their path.
The vehicle crashed into a canal bridge and the guardrail pierced into the driver’s compartment.
The driver was transported with major injuries.
There were no further details on the incident.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
