Placerville, CA – Two people were taken to the hospital after a traffic collision that happened late on New Year’s Day in Placerville.
According to California Highway Patrol logs, the incident transpired around 11:45 p.m. on Pleasant Valley Road, just west of Holm Road.
Two vehicles collided, blocking the roadway.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported the driver of one of the vehicles to Marshall Hospital with the complaints of pain to the back.
A passenger of one of the cars was also hospitalized with unknown injuries.
Both vehicles were towed away with major crash damage.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
