Riverside, CA.- A crash left a Riverside County sheriff's deputy dead on Wednesday morning in Riverside, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident took place on the 91 Freeway near La Sierra Avenue at about 5:30 a.m.
According to the report, Deputy Timothy Corlew was riding a patrol motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with an SUV.
Corlew was taken to Riverside Community Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The condition of the SUV driver was not specified.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
