Police reported that a motorcyclist failed to yield while making a left turn onto northbound Highway 92 from eastbound Avenida Cochise and collided with a westbound vehicle
Sierra Vista, AZ.- A motorcyclist died after being involved in a traffic accident in Sierra Vista on Tuesday.
According to the Sierra Vista Police Department, the suspected DUI crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. October 7, on Avenida Cochise and Highway 92.
Police reported that a motorcyclist failed to yield while making a left turn onto northbound Highway 92 from eastbound Avenida Cochise and collided with a westbound vehicle.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
He was identified as Dennis Smith, 77, of McNeal.
The other driver, Cody Polaski, 26, of Sierra Vista, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The accident is under investigation.
